Techies sports  Minister Rajeeve gives away prizes

The month-long Prathidhwani Games, the sports competitions at Technopark, came to a close with the Minister for Law, Industries and Coir Shri P. Rajeeve giving away prizes to the winners last evening.

Former Kerala Cricket Captain Raiphi Vincent Gomez was the chief guest on the occasion. Shri Rajeeve along with Gomez distributed 250 medals, 120 trophies, cash prize of Rs two lakh and certificates to the winners.

While UST bagged the overall championship with 166 points, Infosys came second with 137 points. Gowtham Beera of UST and Divya R of Alliance emerged champions in individual categories.

Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of IT employees at Technopark, organized the event from January 20 to February 23. As many as 1,500 IT employees from more than 100 IT companies took part in the games conducted at Technopark Club House.

Competitions were held in 10 disciplines including basketball,  volleyball, table tennis, arm wrestling, caroms, chess, swimming, 8 ball pool and throw ball.  

Prathidhwani Sports Forum Convenor Shri Rajith V P; Games Convenor Shri Visakh Hari; Woman Forum Convenor Ms Sandhya; State Convenor Shri Rajeev Krishnan; Secretary Shri Vineeth Chandran and President Shri Vishnu Rajendran were also present.
