Koyikkal Palace to Get a Facelift

The second phase of renovation work is all set to commence at Koyikkal Palace situated in Nedumangad village, Kerala, India. This Palace currently functions under the aegis of the Department of Archaeology and is one of the most visited palaces in Kerala.

The Numismatics and Folklore museum functioning inside the Palace will get an image-makeover with this renovation.  A modern section for coin display will be established, whereby visitors can see both sides of the coin. The museum will also have a historical 3D video projection area that will offer rich information about the five major traditional artisan communities of yesteryears, with details on how they used their tools. Apart from all these, a museum shop and a refreshment area comprising a coffee shop will be set up.
